Inactive Students in Canvas Grade Roster

In Canvas, the grade roster will display inactive students. An inactive student is a student who has dropped or withdrawn from the course.
In some cases, an inactive student may appear twice in the grade roster. This happens if they were withdrawn from another concurrent section of a course and added to another. This is intentional so instructors will be able to access any material submitted within the original section.
Instructors who wish to hide these from view do the following:
- Select the three dots next to the "Student Name" heading.
- Uncheck Inactive enrollments and Concluded Enrollments (Figure 1):
