Installing Cisco Jabber on Windows

Cisco Jabber is a client application which allows you to access presence, instant messaging, voice communications, and people search. For more information on Cisco Jabber please refer to the following article:
Install and Configure Cisco Jabber
To install and configure Cisco Jabber for Windows, do the following:
- Download and install Cisco Jabber.
- Launch Cisco Jabber after you’ve finished installing it.
- To use Cisco Jabber from off campus, you must first connect with VPN. For more information, refer to the following article: VPN at Illinois State University.
- Log in with your ULID and password.
- After logging in, click the Settings Icon ? Settings.
- Put a check mark next to the option, Start Cisco Jabber when my computer starts.
- Click OK.
- Press the Computer icon in the lower-left corner of the contact list section.
- Hover the mouse over Use my phone for calls ? Cisco #### (model number varies depending on which desk phone you have).
The computer icon will change to an image of a phone and Cisco Jabber is now configured for use with your Cisco IP phone.
Trouble Connecting?
If you have trouble connecting to the server, try the following troubleshooting steps:
- Press the Settings Icon ? Help ? Show Connection Status.
- Scroll down to Presence in the Connection Status window.
- Verify that the Address is set to ATCUCMIMP01A.ilstu.edu, the Protocol is set to XMPP, and the Port is 5222
- Verify that the Address is set to ATCUCMIMP01A.ilstu.edu, the Protocol is set to XMPP, and the Port is 5222
