Max Connection Error in the Housing and Dining Portal

The Housing and Dining Portal is available to students who have been admitted to the University. There is a 500-user limit in the Housing and Dining application portal, also known as StarRez. If 500 users are logged in, and user 501 tries to sign in, they will be blocked. After the limit has been reached, students attempting to login will be redirected to the Housing and Dining Application Portal and will receive the following, or similar, error message "The server is experiencing increased load at the present time, and no more logins are allowed. Please try again in a few minutes." (Figure 1).

If you receive the error, please close your browser and try signing in again. You may need to wait a few minutes before retrying.
