Microsoft 365 System Requirements

Before you can use Microsoft 365 and install the latest version of Microsoft Office, you should ensure that your desktop or laptop meets the minimum system requirements. Because Office 365 is a web-based application, there are also browser requirements for some features.
Browser Requirements
The minimum browser requirements are as follows:
- Windows Internet Explorer 11 or newer.
- Mozilla Firefox 12 or newer.
- Apple Safari 5 or newer.
- Google Chrome 18 or newer.
- Microsoft Edge.
Operating System Requirements for Windows
The minimum operating system requirements are as follows:
- Computer and Processor: 1.6 GHz or faster
- Memory: 4 GB RAM
- Hard Disk: 4 GB of available disk space
- Display: 1280 x 768 screen resolution
- Graphics: Graphics hardware acceleration requires a DirectX 9 or later, with WDDM 2.0 or higher for Windows 10 (or WDDM 1.3 or higher forWindows 10 Fall Creators Update).
- Operating System: Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7 Service Pack 1, Windows 10 Server, Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows Server 2012, or Windows Server 2008 R2
Operating System Requirements for MacOS
The minimum operating system requirements for Mac are as follows:
- Computer and Processor: Intel Processor.
- Memory: 4 GB RAM.
- Hard Disk: 10 GB HFS+ hard disk format.
- Display: 1280 x 800 screen resolution.
- Graphics: No graphics requirements.
- Operating System: Mac 10.13.6 or later.
